Healing hot springs are a big draw at Angsana Xian

This is both a top Xian spa resorts pick as well as a meetings and MICE venue
This is a Xian child-friendly hotel with lots for families

ITED at the base of the leafy evergreen Li Mountain, Angsana Xi’an Lintong Hotel and Spa is a fantasy escape for meditative adults in search of spa regeneration as well as kids in need of mental and physical stretch. This will be music to the ears of harried parents hoping to sneak in a few moments of well earned romance. But not only is this a wonderful child-friendly address, it is also packed with facilities for conferences and muscle MICE events with a ballroom holding 800 and other goodies for corporate meetings.

This is by far one of the best Xian spa resorts, its feather in the cap, the hot springs nearby where hotel guests get preferential access. The excellent onsite spa has both traditional and unique offerings, including full-body Javanese, Swedish and Chinese-style massages, as well as hot stone and bamboo treatments. The hot springs facility has one indoor family pool and several outdoor pools, each filled with

natural hot mineral water specially piped in from Li Mountain and “medicated” with pouches of herbs and flowers. Modelled after a Tang Dynasty court, the sprawling complex comprises a 400-room hotel, spa and hot springs facility. Rooms are spacious, starting at 60sq m for a Royal Room to 300sq m for the Dynasty Suite; and are fitted with luxurious touches, including wide balconies, plush linens, flat-screen TVs, and circular bathtubs that are filled with bobbing rose petals each evening. Not a bad way to end the day at all.

Expect several quality recreational and entertainment facilities, such as a large swimming pool that’s partially indoors; a gym (open from 9am till late); and KTV and mahjong rooms that are available for rent. The hotel also has several excellent dining options, including international breakfast spreads at the casual Angsana Cafe and sumptuous Chinese cuisine at the ornate Mandarin Palace, where you can dine in private villas. Mandarin Palace is spot for picky palates as well as well as serious CEO chinwags over chow.
